CALVIN PUTNAM  Adams, Jefferson County

Calvin’s household has 2 males and 2 females. Calvin Putnam is a son of Malachi Putnam and Sarah Blount. His wife is Mary Chase. They were in Lowville, Lewis County in 1830 and will be here in Adams again in 1840. New England family.

 

EZRA PUTNAM  Adams, Jefferson County

Ezra’s household has 2 males and 1 female. He is a son of Elihu Putnam and Polly Thomas. His wife is Lois Thomas. They were in Ellisburg in 1830 and will stay here in Adams forever. New England family.

 

DAVID PUTNAM  Brownville, Jefferson County

David’s household has 4 males and 4 females. He is a son of Abijah Putnam and lives next door to his brother John Willington Putnam. His wife is Diana Warner. David will die here on 16 Sep 1838. Diana will appear as a widowed head of household in 1840 before she remarries Chester Green and then Crandall Lee. David and Diana’s children Martin H., Alfred H. and Eleanor will all appear in 1850. This census is the only time that David makes an appearance. New England family.

 

JOHN W. PUTNAM  Brownville, Jefferson County

John’s household has 10 males and 5 females. John Willington Putnam is a son of Abijah Putnam and lives next door to his brother David. His wife is Minerva Cleveland. John and family will soon be off to Prince Edward County, Ontario before settling in Winnebago County, Illinois where they next appear in 1850. New England family.

 

MOSES PUTNAM  Champion, Jefferson County

Moses’ household has 2 males and 2 females. He is number 2150, a son of Moses Putnam and Mary Allen. His wife is Lavinia Livermore. Moses was here in Watertown in 1830 and will be here in Champion again in 1840. New England family.

 

PARLEY PUTNAM  Clayton, Jefferson County

Parley’s household has 6 males and 4 females. He is a son of John Putnam number 1341 and Hannah Thomas. His wife is Prudence Allen. Parley was here in 1830 and will be again in 1840. New England family.

 

MALACHI PUTNAM  Henderson, Jefferson County

Malachi’s household has 3 males and 2 females. Malachi Putnam is number 1285, a son of Andrew Putnam and Lucy Parks. His wife is Sarah Blount. He was listed here in 1830 and will be in Lowville, Lewis County in 1840. New England family.

 

SALMON PUTNAM  LeRay, Jefferson County

Salmon’s household has 3 males and 3 females. No ideas. Maybe his name is Solomon?

 

PHILIP PUTMAN  Lyme, Jefferson County

Philip’s household has 6 males and 4 females. Philip Putman is the son of Aaron Putman and Delilah Fox. His wife is Lucretia Noble. They were in Oppenheim, Montgomery County in 1840 and will be here in Lyme again in 1840. New England family.

 

SAMUEL PUTNAM  Rodman, Jefferson County

Samuel’s household has 4 males and 4 females. He is number 1898, a son of Archelaus Putnam and Mary Nichols. His wife is Zeruah Green. He was here in Rodman in 1830 and will be in Adams in 1840. New England family.

 

HARVEY PUTNAM  Augusta, Oneida County

Harvey’s household has 1 male and 2 females. He is a son of Frederick Putnam Jr. and Mary King. Harvey never married so the females should be his sister Julia and mother Mary. They will be here with Harvey in the 1840 and 1850 census. New England family.

 

SIDNEY PUTNAM  Augusta, Oneida County

Sidney’s household has 1 male and 2 females. He is a son of Frederick Putnam Jr. and Mary King. His wife is Julia Ann Hamlin. They will be here in 1840 and 1850. New England family.

 

DAVID PUTMAN  Boonville, Oneida County

David’s household has 1 male and 3 females.

 

SUELL PUTNAM  Deerfield, Oneida County

Sewall’s household has 5 males and 5 females. Sewell Putnam is number 1727, a son of Asa Putnam (718) and Anna Collins. His wife is Rebecca Shepard. He was here in 1830 and will be again in 1840. New England family.

 

EBENEZER R. PUTMAN  Kirkland, Oneida County

Ebenezer’s household has 2 males and 3 females. In 1850 we find out that Ebenezer was born about 1800 in Massachusetts and that his wife’s name is Rhoda. Ebenezer and Rhoda then disappear and their many children scatter all over New York. We have no idea how he fits into either the New England or Dutch families.

 

DAVID PUTNAM  Lee, Oneida County

David’s household has 6 males and 2 females. He is a son of David Putnam and Miriam Pease. His wife is Nancy Alcott. He was here in 1830 and will be again in 1840. New England family.

 

GEORGE PUTMAN  Marshall, Oneida County

George’s household has 2 males and 4 females.

 

HENRY PUTNAM Marshall, Oneida County

Henry’s household has 1 male and 2 females.

 

WIDOW PUTNAM  Rome, Oneida County

Her household has 1 male and 1 female. She should be Elizabeth Rynex, the widow of Caleb Putnam (1085). She was here in 1830 and will be here in 1840. New England family.

 

NATHANIEL PUTNAN  Sangerfield, Oneida County

Nathaniel’s household has 6 males and 5 females. He is number 1489, a son of Micah Putnam and Anna Carriel. His wife is Elizabeth Wheeler. He was here in 1830 and will be again in 1840. New England family.

 

RICHARD PUTMAN  Steuben, Oneida County

Richard’s household has 3 males and 1 female. He is a son of Garret and Cathryn Putman and was born in Herkimer County June 19, 1806. His wife is Abigail Young. They were in Western, Oneida County in 1830 and will be here in Steuben again in 1840. Dutch family.

 

HARMON PUTMAN  Niskayuna, Schenectady County

Harmon’s household has 2 males and 0 females.

 

VICTOR PUTMAN  Niskayuna, Schenectady County

Victor’s household has 1 male and 2 females.

 

JOHN PUTMAN  Hector, Tompkins County

John’s household has 4 males and 2 females.

 

JOHN P. PUTNAM  White Creek, Washington County

John Pope’s household has 3 males and 2 females. He is number 691, a son of Peter Schuyler Putnam (250) and Lucy Frink of Pomfret, Connecticut. He was here in 1830 and will be again in 1850. New England family.

 

ELIJAH PUTMAN  Barrington, Yates County

Elijah’s household has 3 males and 1 females. He should be the son of Peter Putman, Jr. and Margaret Saunders here in town. Elijah has just married Harriet Hotchkiss about 1833 and their first son William was born in 1834. Elijah is missing in 1840 but by 1850 he will be found in Wayne, Steuben County. Dutch Family.

 

PETER PUTMAN  Barrington, Yates County

Peter’s household has 2 males and 1 females. Peter Putman is a son of Victor Putman and was born in Sussex County, New Jersey. Peter is married to Sarah Kinnan. They have been here since 1820. This is the last time that we will see Peter Putman as he will die shortly after this census is taken. This line goes Peter > Peter > Victor > David > Jan. Dutch Family.

 

PETER PUTMAN JR.  Barrington, Yates County

Peter’s household has 6 males and 6 females. He is Peter Putman, Jr. His wife is Margaret Saunders. He is a son of Peter Putman and Sarah Mary Kinnan here in town. Peter was born in Sussex County, New Jersey. He was here in 1830 but will soon leave town and will be found in Livingston County in 1840. Dutch Family.

 

VICTOR PUTMAN  Barrington, Yates County

Victor’s household has 4 males and 4 females. Victor Putman is a son of Peter Putman and Sarah Kinnan. He was here in 1825 and 1830. This is the last time that we see Victor. The name of his wife and children remain unknown. In any case they are members of the Dutch Family.

 

SALTER PUTMAN  Milo, Yates County

Salter’s household has 4 males and 4 females. He is indexed as a Putman but is actually Salter Pulman. Just leaving him here so that you don’t get confused. He may be the Salter Pulman who was in Spafford, Onondaga County in 1830.

 

JOHN J. PUTNAM  Milo, Yates County

John’s household has 3 males and 1 female. He does not seem to be related to the Putman families living in Barrington right now. He may be a member of the Dutch family however that is just a guess. He is a question mark.
